Delegation is a key leadership skill. The more you grow in your career, the more you require this skill. Yes, it needs to be learned as we rarely get advice from others about managing our time or increasing productivity, or being more efficient

How?

You should delegate for our own success & growth apart from all other reasons. Delegation is the assignment of responsibilities. Not to slack away from work but to balance workload so that high-priority tasks get due focus & time without compromising other tasks

  1. Delegation improves your decision-making abilities because when you delegate, you choose the best, and to do so requires a lot of decision making!
  2. When you delegate, you lessen the probability of any delays or quality trade-offs. It saves your time for decisions, approvals & other urgent work
  3. When you delegate work, it becomes an opportunity for the other person to grow. It brings in confidence, motivation & a sense of responsibility
